The Christmas Markets You Can’t Miss in 2025

When Christmas arrives, Lisbon transforms. Lights illuminate the city streets, the aroma of roasted chestnuts fills the air, and the city ensures that every stroll is a moment of celebration. For those visiting the Portuguese capital at this time, the typical Christmas Markets become must-sees.

Between the illuminated Baixa Pombalina, with its monumental tree in Praça do Comércio, the meticulously decorated Armazéns do Chiado, the sparkling Avenida da Liberdade, and the large, ornamented squares, the magic is in the air. And, for those who prefer to avoid shopping malls and opt for local commerce, Lisbon offers an increasingly diverse list of markets where Portuguese artisans, producers, and creators offer a wide variety of original and unique products.

Staying at Luzeiros Suites at this time of year means being at the epicenter of Christmas magic, with the Campo Pequeno Market right on the doorstep and the main attractions a short metro ride away.
